, ,Responsibilities and Duties:
- Gain a quick understanding of the unique program business processes and establish relationships with stakeholders
- Perform extensive analysis and research on business process errors/failures and resolve
- Document procedures identified and train others on steps in resolving complex matters
- Review policy and recommend changes/improvements to the business process
- Monitor and resolve audit findings
- Develop and present approaches/methods to refine and implement critical business processes
- Identify solutions to satisfy compliance with the continually changing Federal Government accounting regulations
- Provide audit liaison support to a Defense Agency
- Work with the CFO Team to research and understand audit findings and determine the correct stakeholder(s) to respond to audit requests
- Coordinate business process activities with the Contractor CFO Team, Operations Team, and the Government Program Management
- Assist with documenting business processes and controls
- Understand process improvements for existing business operations and help drive the implementation of the new and improved process
- Familiarity of DoD regulations included in the following: DoD BIO (Business Integration Office) end-to-end (E2E) business processes, DOD FMR (Financial Management Regulation), DoDI (Instruction), Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation), FIP (Financial Improvement Program)
- Obtain, compile, and summarize information for use by other
Requirements:
- Must possess an active Secret clearance and be JAFAN 6/0 eligible
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a financial or business discipline) or seven (7) years of relevant experience
- Three plus (3+) years in experience in federal accounting and business processeswith experience in auditing and/or audit remediation a plus
- Experience with SAP Programs (desired)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Possess a high degree of initiative requiring minimal supervision
- Experience producing professional and accurate reports and documents
- Exhibit knowledge and skill in budget related laws, regulations, methods, etc. to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
- Experience performing extensive analysis and research on business process errors/failures, to include integrated business/process resolutions
- Develop solutions for process breakdowns and present the findings
Preferred:
- Possess ability to interact with multiple personnel to resolve issues and answer questions
- Be flexible and display ability to move to tasks as assigned and quickly gain understanding of the effort required
- Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office skills, especially with MS Excel and MS Word
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a financial or business discipline) or seven (7) years of relevant experience
Security Clearance:
- Must have a Secret clearance (requires US Citizenship)
