, ,Lodestar Consulting is currently seeking multiple full-time Federal Senior Analyst at all levels to join our team in support of the Department of the Navy (DON). Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Department of the Navy (DON) General Fund and Working Capital Funaudit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), and/or relevant Department of the Treasury and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies
- Executing the day-to-day research, analysis, and communication at the direction of the Team Lead
- Utilizing data analysis technology to analyze information
- Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop
Guides, whitepapers) - Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high pressure situations with short deadlines
- Directing and reviewing the work of Analysts
- Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead
Requirements:
- BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of 2.5 years of progressive, relevant experience
Desired Skills:
- Experience in federal/DoD financial statement auditing, audit remediation, or audit
readiness - Experience with Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) reconciliations and Financial
Reporting - Experience working with DFAS reporting policy and procedures
- Experience working with DoD’s Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform
- Experience working with DoD disbursing operations
- Ability to independently research data reconciling variances
- Experience researching and applying FASAB, OMB, and Treasury requirements
including OMB Circular A-136, and/or the Treasury Financial Manual - Proficient skills in MS Excel
- Experience with SharePoint, SQL, ACL Analytics, Python and/or Access databases
- CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager
(CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional
certification
Education:
- Experience working with the Federal Government and/or DoD clients
- CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
Security Clearance:
- Must have or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (requires US Citizenship)
